Fandom 250: Where does Spider-Man rank on the list?

facebooktwitterreddit

FanSided released their Fandom 250 rankings today and we’re taking a look at where Spider-Man landed on the list.

Our favorite web-slinger has quite the avid fanbase (hence us being a site dedicated to the character). Spider-Man has been around for decades and fans continue to love the character. This year, he found a spot just outside of the top 100 in the Fandom 250 ranking that FanSided puts together.

Spider-Man found himself ranked at 104 on the list and number six in the comics category. While the overall ranking of course feels a little low to us, it still managed to beat out some big characters like Supergirl and Superman as well as Harley Quinn and the Joker. Marvel overall came in much higher at the 29 spot (and number two in the comics category). We should also note that Stan Lee hit 242 overall and number 10 in the comics category.

There’s no doubt that Spider-Man had a huge year overall and it isn’t even over yet. Marvel’s Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 sold millions of copies and took the video game world by storm earlier this year. Soon, we’ll see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse drop in theaters and people are already hyped up about it.

Being in the top half of the rankings seems like a good place for the web-slinger when you factor in those two big moments of the year. We love our friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man and we’re glad that others enjoy him just as much, if not even more than we do.
