Daredevil has been cancelled at Netflix. We reflect on the series’ top five moments.

After Netflix and Marvel Television announced the cancellation of Luke Cage and Iron Fist, fans were worried that either Jessica Jones, The Punisher or Daredevil would be next. With Daredevil premiering its third season on the streaming service, it seemed unlikely that Netflix would ax the fan-favorite show. Over the years Daredevil has proven to be Netflix’s most popular Marvel series and with its third season garnering marvelous reviews upon arrival, then it was ludicrous to think that the worst could happen. Alas, the worst was right around the corner.

According to THR, Netflix and Marvel have officially cancelled Daredevil. Disney is preparing to launch its own streaming service and many fans believe this is why Netflix is pulling its Marvel properties from their service. Nevertheless, it’s terrible news for fans of the devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

Now, to celebrate one of the best superhero series to ever hit television here are the top five moments from Netflix’s Daredevil.

5. Putting on the costume for the first time

The first season of Daredevil took its time in establishing Matt Murdock’s vigilante identity, down to the costume. Up until the finale, Daredevil season one had the character in a black ninja-esque wardrobe. The black suit quickly became iconic in design and many fans came to love it. Yet, we were all waiting for Matt to finally don the red Daredevil suit made famous by the comics. It happened during the final episode of season one, with Matt taking on the Kingpin and once and for all sending him straight to prison.

That moment was definitely one of the highlights of season one, as well as the perfect way to end a fantastic first season overall. The final battle between Daredevil and Kingpin served as a tease for what was to come in season two, especially since some of the best moments in the entire series took place in the second season.
