4. Thor: The Dark World

DVD Sales – $40.2 million/1.7 million units
Blu-ray Sales – $39.8 million/1.7 million units
Total Sales – $80 million/3.4 million units

Thor fares much better in Phase Two! Okay, this is only because Iron Man 3, and Ant-Man did not attract much. Therefore, Thor: The Dark World does better by technicality. Honestly, the sequel sold a few less than the original, but by only a mere 2% difference. At the same time, it comes off as no surprise – Thor: The Dark World was a rather meh film that has become plenty forgettable. It may be the least talked about in the entirety of MCU Phase 2.

Of course, it debuts at #1, but quickly loses each week due to big films like 12 Years a Slave and The Hunger Games.  Not all is bad,  as in 2014, it sold more units than X-Men: Days of Future Past and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which are bigger critical hits. Not only that, but it was the #6 best-selling Blu-ray of 2014! It’s safe to say that Thor: Ragnarok  will easily beat this and be the strongest Thor entry in the MCU.
