Blu-ray Sales – $83.2 million/3.9 million units
Total Sales – $143 million/7.7 million units
Now who saw this coming? A rather unknown comic property, even amongst some of its fans. Guardians of The Galaxy came just in time for the holiday season, pushing out over 3 million units in its first week alone. Although it was the #1 best seller for only a week, it had a healthier decline compared to the other Phase Two titles. By the time Christmas has passed, it sold over 5 million units.

Guardians of The Galaxy was in fact the #2 best-selling Blu-ray and #3 best-selling movie of 2014. This makes it the number one best-selling MCU title of 2014! We need to mark how impressive this is given the property did not have much recognition like Captain America or Thor. Plus, it only saw less than a whole month of release on shelves. Not only that, but it turned out to be the only Phase 2 title to make over nine digits!
