Look up in the sky it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Superman flying with a new Lois Lane. Yup, that’s right we could see a new Lois Lane in the DCEU and there’s plenty of actresses who can pull it off.

So much has changed since Zack Snyder’s 2013 Man of Steel. While the support for Snyder looms, Warner Bros. is looking to reshape it’s DC Extended Universe. It started with Walter Hamada being hired and ensuing rumors of potential departures soon followed.

Many fans expect Ben Affleck to step down. While recent reports suggest Henry Cavil could also hang up his cape as Superman. Unless you ask Jason Mamoa. It turns out, Affleck and Cavil aren’t alone. During a Variety interview with Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams revealed that her days as Lois Lane are over.

"“Think I’m out of the DC Universe now. I think they’re revamping that. I don’t know the details.”"

If what Adams says is true, then Warner Bros. and Hamada will need to find another Lois Lane. It’ll be interesting to see what direction they’ll go in.

When they brought on Adams appeared in Man of Steel, she was the big name to Henry Cavil’s rising star. It made sense considering how captivating Lois is even without powers. Moreover, the film was grounded and in need of a solid supporting cast to attract non-comic book audiences.

Whoever plays Lois should have an established name. More importantly, she should own the fierce qualities that Lois Lane exudes.

11. Rebecca Ferguson

While not a big-time actress, Rebecca Ferguson does have some respect on her name. In the comic book movie circles, Ferguson is a popular name to fan cast. Her roles in the Mission Impossible franchise as Ilsa Faust has a lot to do with that. In fact, it’s Ilsa who resembles the kick-butt fierce qualities of Lois Lane.
