Episode 2: “Hawk and Dove”

“Kids in America” by Foo Fighters

After a harrowing mission, Dawn Granger/ Dove (Minka Kelly) reminisces about happier times when she and her partner, Hank Hall/ Hawk (Alan Ritchson), were fighting gunrunners. Swooping in to aid them was the Boy Wonder, Robin, without the knowledge of his mentor, Batman. Apparently, these kids in America aren’t exactly the kind of company Batman approves for his sidekick.

“Papa Loves Mambo” by Perry Como

Probably the strangest introduction for one of the series’ villains. The Nuclear Family live in a time warp of the 1950s, with the perfect song to accompany their morning routine. It’s a shame they are interrupted to seek out Rachel and bring her to their ‘employers’. But, they’re hardly complaining – it’s time for a family road trip.

Episode 3: “Origins”

“Sunshine Day” by The Brady Brunch

The sun is definitely shining on the Nuclear Family. They despatched Dick Grayson and his cohorts to successfully capture their quarry, Rachel. Now, they’re on a road trip back to their boss, Dr. Adamson. Everyone’s smiling (except for Rachel who can’t believe these clowns), but not for long. One Starfire is hot on their tail.

“Sunny” by Boney M

Starfire rescues Rachel, and they set off to find information about themselves. But first, the duo stop at a diner to grab a quick meal. When a rowdy group of men interrupt the peace, Starfire shows the harassers how not to treat a woman. The audience agrees with Rachel, when she calls Starfire a ‘total badass’.

“Highway Tune” by Greta Van Fleet

After the death of his parents, young Dick Grayson (Tomaso Sanelli) is adopted by Bruce Wayne and invited to live in Wayne Manor. Unhappy with his lot in life, he decides to go on a joy ride, stealing the Porsche that we see older Dick driving around in Titans. Suffice to say, the cops are displeased with this incident.

“Keep It Comin’ Love” by KC & The Sunshine Band

The kids might love the place, but Starfire can’t wait to get out of the bustling Scooters rink and return to investigating her origins. Rachel, however, seems to be enjoying herself way too much, and since Starfire won’t leave her side, she might as well change the music.

“Make Me Wanna Sing” by Black Toast Music

Is Starfire a secret fan of Shameless? When she finally gets her hands on the skating rink’s jukebox, this seems to be her song of choice. Of course, she doesn’t get to enjoy it for long as at that moment she is interrupted by Dick Grayson, who is convinced Starfire has kidnapped Rachel.
