4. Ant-Man and the Wasp

Ant-Man gets its sequel finally in the form of Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018. The film opened at number one this past July. Sadly, the film did not stay number one for long as one or more new film each weekend knocked it down afterwards. Ant-Man and the Wasp just kind of came and went as far as word of mouth goes. You did not hear much be said about it.

This is not to say it did terrible at the box office though. Strangely, it did fairly well. Although, it is not saying much of the film when its domestic total is only a small percentage better of Venom, which had lower reviews and does not have the added perk of being part of the MCU. Plus, its budget is more than Venom as well.

Three years later after Ant-Man, its sequel did quite well for itself. Overall, this new installment had a 17 percent gain over its predecessor. Hence, the sequel paid off quite well. Domestically the film brought in over $216 million. The foreign box office made over $406 million for the new MCU sequel. At the end of the day, Ant-Man and the Wasp made a worldwide total of $622.7 million.
