3. Deadpool 2

Everyone loved the first film and were clamoring for the sequel in 2018. Deadpool 2 arrived in mid-May, ready for the summer vacation period. Its box office record is strong, but does not look nearly as strong when compared to the first film. The sequel’s domestic total takes a 12 percent dip from the predecessor. Deadpool was the number one film for three straight weekends. Whereas Deadpool 2 was number one for only its opening weekend. However, one feather in its cap was it took that number one spot away from the MCU’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Deadpool 2  finished domestically with over $318 million. Internationally, its final grab was a total of over $417 million. By the end, Deadpool 2 took home globally a bag of $735.6 million. Keep in mind, this is not counting the Once Upon a Deadpool. And let us not forget this is an R-Rated film. Sure, it did not outpace the first film, but still it is a colossal hit at the box office.
