After over six months off, Gotham will finally return for its season premiere, but for its final go-around on Fox. A look at how to watch season 5, episode 1 online.
All television shows must come to an end, unless it’s WWE’s Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live. While some fans of this program might be disappointed, Gotham will end its run on Fox with season 5.
In 2018, this prequel, that focuses on a young Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon, barely survived the chopping block when Fox reviewed its television shows for the 2018-19 season. It cut Lucifer, which landed on Netflix, but decided to give Gotham one more run to provide a definitive ending and let it reach syndication.

This, of course, could have ended worse. Fox had the ability to cancel Gotham and end its run instantly. So, the fact it will air a clean ending should satisfy fans.
On Thursday, Jan. 3, the season 5 premiere will air to introduce the show’s final storylines. Titled “Year Zero,” it’s set to lead viewers to a long-awaited conclusion: Bruce becoming Batman. That’s as much of a reason to watch as any, so, with the next few months to play this out, which events will play out?
