Spider-Man: Far From Home teaser trailer breakdown

Here Comes Mysterio

Mysterio arrives in the ending scene of the teaser trailer in Far From Home, and he is portrayed by Jake Gyllenhaal. As most Spider-Man fans know, Mysterio is mostly a villain but in this movie, he is seen fighting Hydro-Man and saving people. That seems quite interesting and also changes the character’s story as well.

During last year’s Brazil CCXP, Spider-Man: Far From Home’s first trailer released but not online and a press conference was held as well with Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal and Jacob Batalon. During the conference, Jake Gyllenhaal said Mysterio will be an ally in this movie. As much as that seems shocking, it could be quite interesting, and I am interested in knowing how it goes.

The thing about some villains is that they first act like heroes and then show their true intentions and gradually become villains. This could be the case with Mysterio in this movie as well, whereby he first helps Spider-Man before fighting against him to gain something. In the trailer, he is seen fighting Hydro-Man, and he seems to be using his powers as a shield in a magical way. This could be the MCU’s approach to Mysterio, in which his illusional powers can be used to create a shield.

Anyhow, the trailer has greatly hyped fans, and I am excited to see how the movie goes when it hits theaters. Spider-Man: Far From Home releases on July 5th.
