Riverdale always provides an interesting episode, showcasing the wacky antics of a town that never sleeps and experiences the bizarre. That has been the case in season 3, with more Hiram Lodge and the cryptic game, Gryphons & Gargoyles.
Archie Andrews is back. That’s good news for everyone in town, but this isn’t the same red-haired kid everyone knew. His demeanor was darker and more serious, instead of the happy-go-lucky guy that was best friends with Betty, Jughead and Veronica.
Archie missed school for all of season 3, due to his juvenile imprisonment and being on the run from Hiram and Riverdale. However, it means he’ll probably be held back for one year, as noted in “Chapter Forty-Five,” falling behind his friends.

As for Wednesday’s episode, “Chapter Forty-Six: The Red Dahlia,” it will debut Kelly Ripa’s character who’s Hiram’s mistress, Ms. Mulwray; Ripa and Mark Consuelos are real-life husband and wife. What will happen when Hermione learns of this affair? How damaging will it prove towards their relationship?
