11. Cisco and Gypsy (The Flash)

Up until Season 3, Team Flash’s resident wiz kid, Cisco Ramon, had been consistently unlucky in love, having previously fallen for an ancient Hawk-being who was destined to be with another, and a known criminal. However, things all changed when he crossed paths with Gypsy: a relentless bounty-hunter who breached in from Earth-19.

Things between them didn’t start out friendly – quite the opposite, in fact. While they were both clearly attracted to each other, their goals placed them on opposite sides of the (Earth-19) law and, as a result, they ended up using their similar powers to duel over the life of fugitive H.R. Wells. Despite her experience, Cisco managed to defeat her and, although he could have claimed her life, he chose not to, revealing that they didn’t operate like that on Earth-1. And, after that gesture, it didn’t take her long to claim him for herself.

Much like Wally and Jesse, Cisco and Gypsy (who’s real name was Cynthia) attempted to make an inter-dimensional relationship work and, for the most part, it really did. They fell madly in love with each other and, in turn, realized that, together, they made each other better people. Cisco tamed Gypsy’s fiery personality and reminded her what it was like to truly care about someone, while her relentless attitude ultimately taught him how to enjoy the full capabilities of his vibing powers.

Together, they were the perfect match, which is why it crushed us when Cisco realized that he wanted more than a long-distance life, leading to the pair’s amicable (but heartbreaking) break-up.
