Since the film’s release a year ago, it has not wavered in its importance and inspiration, only growing in influence and excitement. It has won awards such as People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie Actor, People’s Choice Award for Favorite Action Movie Star, Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Costume Design, Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Production Design, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Many fans also have their fingers crossed for the film to take home the biggest prize in film, the Oscar’s Best Picture award, for which it was recently nominated. The nomination itself was historic, marking the first superhero film to ever have the honor, but a win would be that much more thrilling and so incredibly deserved.
