2. Thanos ripped the reality in two
Thanos’ big plan worked. With a simple snap of his fingers, he turned half of the beings in the universe into dust. Then, Thanos did what he’s wanted to do for years. He sat and watched the sunrise. We may have seen the result, but we don’t actually know what happened to the people who were dusted.
We all assumed they were killed to add for the dramatic effect. Even though Thanos is a killer and a monster, the MCU Thanos isn’t like the Thanos from the comic books. He may have even showed mercy because of what he did to Gamora. Thanos may have snapped and turned the universe into two separate realities. Even if he didn’t care what happened to the beings, the Infinity Stones may have done something different.
Crazy Scale: 10
It’s funny that in a world of comic books, alternate realities makes more sense than resurrection. Considering the power of the Infinity Stone, creating a new universe isn’t that absurd. Thanos may have wanted to show kindness after a lifetime of killing.
Bringing them back this way makes the return of beings smoother. They aren’t bringing the dusted beings back from the dead. They’re just bringing them back from another place. It also may turn people against the Avengers if their lives were better in the other reality. We’d all be upset if our lives ended up being better just to have it taken away.
