14. Childlike Hulk

In the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War, Hulk got his butt whooped by Thanos. After the fight, Heimdall sent Hulk to Earth. The Hulk crashed to Earth and transformed back into Bruce Banner. This was the last time we saw the Hulk.

Reddit user donotmatthews has an interesting theory on why he never changed. They point out that Hulk may not have changed back because of his childlike brain. The example used was during Thor: Ragnarok when Thor told Hulk that everyone on Earth hates the Hulk. The Hulk was genuinely hurt by that comment and sulked until Thor apologized. The Hulk may still be affected by what Thor said. Since everyone on Earth hates the Hulk, why would he help them or Banner?

Crazy Scale: 5

There has to be a reason why Hulk won’t change. Hulk has lost fights before, so a bruised ego may not be the reason. However, Hulk is sensitive. He may see Earth as a place that has always rejected him. He could be throwing a tantrum to show the world that they need him more than he needs the world.

This could also explain why we could be getting a smarter Hulk. If Mark Ruffalo will play the smart Hulk, he may also learn a lesson. Just because he has the brainpower, that doesn’t mean he’s superior to the childlike Hulk.
