13. Clint’s family was dusted

The first Avengers: Endgame trailer showed a different Clint Barton. No more bow and arrows. He was standing over a body and wiping blood off a sword he used. Clint has always been arrogant and fun-loving leading us to believe something major had to have happened in order for him to look angrier than what we’ve grown accustomed to seeing.

Clint is used to seeing people die. In fact, he’s killed people and moved on. One death that he couldn’t get over would be his family dying.

Crazy Scale: 1

In the Ultimate Universe, Clint’s family was killed. After that, he became a lot angrier and deadlier. On Earth Prime (Earth 616) Clint became Ronin when he realized Hawkeye was dead to him. The MCU has a habit of combining both of these universes and this is what is happening now. It looks like Clint is upset that his family was caught in this chaos while some of the evil people in the world survived.

This is going to give fans of the movies who don’t read the comics a different view of Hawkeye. They’re going to witness a Clint Barton who’s more dangerous than anything we’ve witnessed in the MCU. If you think his skill as an archer is good, wait until you seen him with a sword.
