MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “The Force of Gravity” – Daisy’s future as the destroyer of worlds could take a critical change, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FRIDAY, MAY 11 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Mitch Haaseth)

CLARK GREGG, MING-NA WEN

Agent Melinda May

There isn’t anyone on Earth and beyond that Phil Coulson trusts more than Melinda May. She is the most reliable person he’s ever worked with. That may even include Nick Fury. Nicknamed “The Cavalry” (a name she hates) has been in the trenches with Coulson for years. During her time with S.H.I.E.L.D. (on the TV show) we could see how devoted she was to Phil. She rarely questioned his judgment. When she did, it was usually the right call to make.

Phil Coulson said that the day she killed that little girl was the day she changed. He also said that she used to be lighthearted and even a prankster. We saw what happened to her after that incident, but what was she like before? It’s doubtful that May will have a huge cameo, but she could be a crucial part. We’ve seen how amazing she is in the field.

Captain Marvel could be the perfect intro to Melinda May’s career. If she was a major factor in the field during an alien invasion, there’s no way she wouldn’t be reliable otherwise. At the very least she could sign up for S.H.I.E.L.D. right after the conflict ends.
