After three long weeks, Riverdale is back. The show disappeared almost as quickly as it returned from winter break, as viewers last watched an episode on Feb. 6. Plenty developed in this wild town, as well, including the introduction of Hiram and Hermione Lodge’s respective lovers. Yes, they’re still married.
Hiram’s affair, with Mrs. Mulwray, only dampened his reputation. Hermione, maybe more surprisingly, had one of her own with Sheriff Minetta, who she seemingly shot to close “Chapter Forty-Seven.”

Along with them, Jughead Jones’ mother and sister are in town. His mom, Gladys, is the mystery buyer from the previous episode that used Reggie Mantle’s car as collateral for needing to launder money. Plus, a curious conversation between her and Jellybean likely means their return to Riverdale won’t remain peachy.
It will all follow up in “Chapter Forty-Eight: Requiem for a Welterweight,” the 13th episode of season 3. That’s without mentioning what Archie’s brewing relationship with Josie, as the two shared a kiss in the final episode before the break. Betty has the ongoing Farm dilemma to handle with her mother.
