Daken

It’s rare that a new character comes out of comic books that stands the test of time. Some of them tend to be “flavor of the month” and disappear into obscurity. Wolverine Origins debuted the son of Wolverine, and he wasn’t what anyone expected. Daken’s mother was killed while he was still in the womb. Thankfully, he had his father’s healing factor and survived. The unfortunate part was he was taken and raised by a monster of a person named Romulus. Daken was raised to hate Logan. Even after he found out his mother’s death wasn’t Logan’s fault, Daken still loathed Wolverine. Daken’s hatred was embedded into his soul and would never leave.

Daken has his father’s claws (the middle claw was under his wrists), healing factor, and heightened senses, but that’s where the likeness stops. Daken is a deplorable person. He’s willing to use anything to get what he wants. He will have sex with or seduce men or women to get information and kill them once they outlived their usefulness. When the seduction doesn’t work, he will fight and torture information out of people. From this series, Daken was made one of Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers. It’s a shame he was recently killed. However, we know this won’t last forever.
