The Flash is back after three weeks off. The CW ditched most of its superhero shows in mid-February for another break, and shortly after the winter recess that took everything off the air from December to mid-January.
The Flash is already 14 episodes into its fifth season. That’s past the halfway mark, so a mere nine episodes remain to take this show into the middle of May.
This timespan leaves a small window to tell what happens with Cicada, the big bad that’s mostly eluded Team Flash this season and whatever follows up with Nora West-Allen’s Eobard Thawne involvement in 2049. So this all should ramp up in “King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd” on Tuesday, March 5.

It’s a unique episode title, as two The Flash villains will seemingly collide in Central City, making for an explosive, CGI-filled fight that encapsulates the next hour.
This will be a task for Team Flash to maintain, as they must use King Shark to help take down the antagonistic Gorilla Grodd. Might it backfire, though, if the two choose to ravage Central City and make it difficult on everyone?
