On Monday, March 4, Luke Perry, who played Archie Andrews’ father Fred, passed away, after suffering a massive stroke last week. He was 52 years old.

Perry joined Riverdale from its start in season 1 — playing a part in the show’s major storylines. He was always the supporting force for Archie, no matter what situation he dealt with.
Success for this long-time actor goes beyond one of The CW’s most popular dramas. He starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 as Dylan McKay from 1990-1995 and 1998-2000, and appeared in a variety of TV shows and films over the past three decades.
Perry’s final role will be in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which hits theaters this summer, according to Entertainment Weekly.
