Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Punisher, and Iron Fist were the first of the gritty Marvel Netflix shows. Other than a few references and jokes to things that affected New York, they remained separate from the movies. These shows displayed what it would look like to have superpowers in a real world.

Some people would use their powers to help them in their line of work like Jessica Jones. Some would do what Luke Cage did and hide them for a while. Others like Daredevil and Iron Fist would  train for years to hone their powers and use them to help the innocent. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

Marvel’s Netflix shows had a good run, but Netflix and Marvel have parted ways. These shows gave Netflix some of the best action sequences we’ve seen from a television project. Each character had their own specific fighting style depending on their powers and experience. You wouldn’t see Luke Cage doing back flips or Jessica Jones delivering roundhouse kicks. However, you would see both of them throw people into or through walls. The back-flips and roundhouse kicks were left for Daredevil and Iron Fist.
