Bane finally makes his long-awaited debut in the next episode of Gotham. But before he does, check out the brand new trailer for “I Am Bane”.

Gotham’s final season has been full of twists and turns and, with the end in sight, you can rest assured that it’s going to get a lot crazier. Through its interpretation of the “Batman: No Man’s Land” story, we have seen Jim Gordon attempt to protect the city’s remaining residents from monsters like the Scarecrow, the Mutants and the returning Jeremiah Valeska. However, soon he’ll have to face his most physically imposing foe yet – one that just so happens to be one of Batman’s most iconic supervillains.

However, we’ll have to wait a little while longer than usual to see this battle, as Gotham will be taking a brief one-week hiatus and will return the following week. But if you can’t wait that long, then you’re in luck because Fox has released a brand new promo for the episode. Check it out below:

In case the title, “I Am Bane,” didn’t give it away, the episode will finally introduce the long-running Batman villain to Gotham. While the character does have his own unique backstory in the comics, it appears that the show is once again going to do what it does best and rewrite that history to match its narrative, as this Bane will have unfinished business with Gordon.

The character was originally introduced as the CGPD captain’s old army pal Eduardo Dorrance – who tried to kill him and help the mysterious and villainous Walker destroy the city. However, when a battle between the pair left Eduardo minutes away from death, he was saved by Walker, who placed a glowing oxygen-like mask over his mouth. And just like that, Bane was born.

With Bane making his official Gotham debut, you can bet that things are about to get a lot more physical in the next installment. Has it been two weeks yet?
