Arrow is back for another episode. With this as the final full season of the show, before a limited 10-episode run for season 8 in 2019-20, these are the last times viewers will see Oliver Queen as the Green Arrow and the events of the chaotic Star City.
Monday’s installment marks a different kind of show, however, as Arrow will fully take place in the future — 2040, to be exact. “Star City 2040” brings viewers to 21 years in the future, with the children of some of the Arrowverse’s characters grown up and aged vigilantes, including an older Dinah Drake and Roy Harper.

A recently startling development, Mia turned out to be the daughter of Felicity Smoak and presumably Oliver. She joins Oliver’s son William and others as they venture through an older Star City and uncover clues on the future, which could string plot holes, as Arrow prepares to leave The CW.
“Star City 2040” should become an intriguing episode of discoveries, developments and announcements that shake this show to its core. What will it mean for everyone from the future?
