2. They just disintegrated! (Ant-Man and the Wasp)
I don’t know about you, but I really enjoyed Ant-Man and the Wasp.
It was a funny, action-pact movie that really kept you engaged, and the film, in my opinion at least, was what made Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films better than Phase Two.
Again, it’s just my opinion, so please don’t stone me.
In the post-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott Lang goes inside the Quantum Realm to harvest the quantum particles, while Hank, Hope, and Janet, all await outside. As Scott tries to signal that he’s done the harvesting and is ready to the real world, no one answers.
Thinking that it’s a trick they’re playing on him, Scott continues to call out to the trio, only for us to see that they’ve all disintegrated into ash, thanks to the events of Avengers: Infinity Wars.
That darn Thanos!
It was very clever how Marvel tied Ant-Man into giving us more clues as to what the world happened in Infinity Wars, and it only makes Endgame that much more of an anticipated movie. Thanos really screwed up the universe, and we’re all on the edge of our seats wondering if it can be pieced back together again. The post-credit scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp also added some humor in the form of Scott and the Ant, who was jamming away when the Emergency Alert System goes off.
