7. Karla Sofen

You’d be hard pressed to find a more deplorable person in Marvel Comics. Karla Sofen was a psychologist that took pleasure in manipulating her patients. Karla used her skill as a master manipulator to gain her powers. She made the original Moonstone feel so bad that it caused his body to reject the Moonstone that gave him his abilities. Karla absorbed its power and thus the new Moonstone was born. Karla Sofen went on to be a Thunderbolt (they’re essentially the Suicide Squad minus a great leader like Amanda Waller) and one of Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers.

Captain Marvel needs a worthy villain. Not just someone who matches her in power alone; she has to have an antagonist that can combat her on an intellectual level as well. Moonstone has super-strength and durability, the ability to phase her body, flight, and energy blasts. Their fight could be legendary since they’re so evenly matched and Moonstone’s banter during their fight would be epic.

Plus, Moonstone’s debut could lead to the Dark Avengers project that was pitched. More than all of this, Karla Sophen is a disgusting human being and could be one of Marvel’s greatest villains. She’s not like Killmonger or Thanos who may have good intentions. Karla Sophen is selfish and the MCU needs more evil villains.
