1. Riri Williams
People have assumed that Iron Man is going to die since before Avengers: Infinity War debuted. Eventually, Tony Stark isn’t going to be an Avenger. For a time at least. Someone is going to have to step up and fill in his shoes. People will say Peter Parker is being groomed for that slot, but he’s not ready. Plus, there’s a Marvel Comics character who already has the intelligence to carry the Iron Man legacy. Riri Williams should be next up.
Riri Williams may not have the fighting experience that Spider-Man does, but that may work in her favor. Spidey has been a hero long enough that he can get stuck in his ways. We’ve already seen him not listen on multiple occasions. So much so that it’s almost cost innocent people their lives. Riri Williams has the advantage because she is still fresh. She can be molded into something new all while adding her own style.
In the comics, Tony Stark ends up in a coma after getting a butt-whooping by Captain Marvel. Thankfully, he had a contingency plan in case that happened. He had his mind downloaded into artificial intelligence. While Tony was out of service, he was teaching Iron Heart (her superhero name). It was like she was getting lessons from Tony Stark as if he was right next to her. Combining Robert Downey Jr. as A.I. with Riri Williams could be a perfect way to bring her in without it seeming forced.
