Legends of Tomorrow has the shortest season, at 16 episodes, of any Arrowverse show. So to space out their seasonal runs, The CW provides a lengthy gap between the first eight episodes and the last eight episodes.
Viewers last watched this rag-tag group on Dec. 10, 2018. With the events of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and the Elseworlds crossover, it’s easy to forget Legends still existed in this time off. They still have half a season to run through, too, so action and storytelling lie ahead.
The first eight episodes saw the Legends conquer mystical creatures, with help from John Constantine. A deeper look at the Time Bureau also came about, with Nate Heywood working with his father and taking the show off the Waverider.

Well, on Monday, April 1, the show will finally return amid the absences of Arrow and The Flash. Black Lightning already had its season finale, and Supergirl has another episode Sunday night.
Titled “Lucha de Apuestas,” it will take the Legends into another unexpected direction. Future and previous time periods are always there to explore, so look for them to continue this and face their inevitable Big Bad of season 4.
