Black Lightning: What questions do we have for season 3?
By Mark Lynch
Jennifer Pierce
Jennifer was the best part of this season. Her growth and maturity, all while remaining an immature teenager, were well done. The nature of her new abilities was showcased in a way that made sense. She used to think of them as a curse, but she eventually learned to not only useher abilities but love them, as well. She even saved Khalil more than a few times, while they were on the run. Her biggest accomplishment was putting the fear into Tobias in the final episode of the season. She could have killed him but, with some help from her father, she showed the strength not to do so.
What’s next?
Jennifer is going to have to mature even faster than she already has. She’ll be needed in this upcoming war. She’ll be called upon to fight (despite Jefferson probably not wanting her to) and also charge Black Lighting up when his powers are depleted. Will Jennifer be trusted to go out on patrol by herself? If she isn’t, how is she going to react to be kept indoors while crime and mischief ensue? She could prove her worth or revert back to being immature. And you can definitely expect her to flip if she realizes that Khalil is alive.
