The Avengers: Endgame press tour is underway, and to kick things off, Good Morning America released a clip from the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film on Monday morning (April 8).

As the 22nd chapter of the MCU, Endgame will close Phase Three as the remaining Avengers (plus some Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel) seek to vanquish Thanos (Josh Brolin) and well, avenge, the half of all life who evaporated during the Snap at the close of Avengers: Infinity War.

The clip features original team members Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) along with James Rhodes/War Machine (Don Cheadle) and Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

Thanos used the Infinity Stones again, so Carol and Steve decide to go in after him to recapture the Stones and bring everyone back. Bruce is skeptical of this plan and its effectiveness, but Carol is confident it will work. “Why?” Bruce asks.

"“Because before, you didn’t have me.”"

She then gets into an argument with Rhodey about the merits of saving one planet or many before Thor, who’s been chilling out in the background walks over and calls his new battle axe Stormbreaker to his hand. Carol is unfazed by this display of power.

“I like this one,” Thor comments.

“Let’s go get him,” Steve says, essentially. (A less-jaded past version of himself would probably be embarrassed by his choice of words here, and if it were a lighter moment, one of his teammates certainly would have teased him about it.

What purpose did Thanos use the Stones for? Maybe he got bored in retirement and, following the comics, decided to go into farming? It is likely something far more nefarious, but an intriguing idea.
