Alan Tudyk will reprise his role of snarky droid K-2SO in the upcoming Star Wars “Rogue One” prequel TV series on Disney Plus.

Alan Tudyk is back in a galaxy far, far away, as he will reprise his Rogue One: A Star Wars Story role of snarky reprogrammed Imperial droid K-2SO in the Rogue One prequel TV series for Disney Plus.

This news was one of many Disney Plus announcements released Thursday, April 11 about the upcoming streaming service, which will launch in November.

Tudyk’s casting was previously reported by various media outlets, including Screen Rant.

The currently-untitled Star Wars series will also star Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, a Rebel operative, and will debut sometime in 2021.

The chronological setting will place the series within the 15 to 20-year gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

Kaytoo was a fan favorite from the first Star Wars spinoff film, which was mostly due thanks to his snarky, pessimistic attitude and “me first” survival policy. Eventually, however, he became friends with Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and her crew, perishing in the assault on Scarif to obtain the Death Star plans.
