How will Thanos be defeated in Avengers: Endgame? Here are five potential theories.

As Doctor Strange said, “We’re in the endgame now.” Avengers: Endgame will determine the fate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the future. Before they can move on, they have a difficult task on their hands hand. The heroes have to defeat the Mad Titan Thanos. They lost badly the first time around. Hopefully, this time will be different. While it’s certain that they’ll have a plan, it’s difficult to prepare to fight a being who can change reality with a simple hand gesture. But they have to try or all hope for the galaxy is lost.

There has been a lot of speculation on how Thanos will lose. Fans all over the world have theories on how this plays out for Thanos. Some of them are brilliant and some of them involve Ant-Man going where the sun doesn’t shine (for the love of Odin, no). Here are five theories on how Thanos can be defeated in Avengers: Endgame.

5. Drax punches a hole through Thanos

In the comic book Drax the Destroyer (2005), Drax we see where his MCU portrayal of Drax comes from. He looked nothing like the character from the 1970s and no longer had his energy blasts. However, he was still created to kill Thanos. In comic book series Annihilation, Drax completed his goal. Thanos tried to put up a forcefield to stop Drax from killing him, but that didn’t stop him. Drax ripped the force-field open and pushed Thanos’ heart out of his chest.

In the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, we find out that Thanos is the reason Drax’s family is dead. We also saw that Drax still holds a justified grudge. Drax may have been turned to dust during Thanos’ snap, but that doesn’t mean much. At some point we all think that the galaxy will go back to normal during Avengers: Endgame. If this is the case, it’s easy to think Drax will come back before Thanos dies. Since Drax owes Thanos for the murder of his family, it wouldn’t be shocking if Drax gets the honor of killing Thanos.
