3. Nebula saves the day

The Infinity Gauntlet story remains one of the more popular arcs in Marvel Comics. It also has ties to the events that happened in Avengers: Infinity War. For example, Thanos did get rid of half the beings in the universe. Unlike the movie, Thanos did it to gain the affection of Death. The remaining beings who could help went out to defeat Thanos and set the galaxy back to normal. In the comic, Nebula took advantage of a situation and took the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos. An unexpected moment that could happen in the movie.

Nebula has been an underrated character in the MCU. She’s been more than just a villain to Gamora and could be a crucial part of defeating Thanos. Thanos has abused her for years and continued to put her against her sister Gamora. It also doesn’t help that he’s always looked at Nebula as weak. His comments about not wasting the parts when she said Thanos should have killed her was very telling. All of this gives Nebula an advantage the others don’t have. Thanos underestimates her.

Nebula isn’t going to be someone Thanos concerns himself with, as he worries about Thor, Hulk, and Captain Marvel. Nebula is smart enough to use this as an advantage. It may give her the time she needs to sneak up on Thanos and remove the gauntlet. Once that happens, it’s almost certain she’ll use the Infinity Stones to kill her father.
