The Flash is back for the start of its final four episodes of season 5. What will transpire in “Gone Rogue, the 20th airing of the year?
The Flash encountered a season-changing sequence of events in season 5, episode 19. “Snow Pack” returned Caitlin Snow’s father. He started evil but reverted to his normal, human persona, until he fell victim to the overarching villain.
Caitlin even had a new development with her mother, who walked out of the episode changed, although unknown to her daughter.
However, the greater impact was Nora’s turn to the dark side. With the help of Eobard Thawne in 2049, Nora developed a negative speed force and found her inner darkness. It was built on her father Barry’s disposal of her, learning how she worked with Thawne without anyone’s knowledge.

This led to Iris traveling to the future to smooth everything over with Nora. It did not work and will create the events of “Gone Rogue,” with XS working with other rogues in villainous fashion. She is clearly changed, and potentially for the permanent worst.
The Flash has worked through big angles quickly in previous seasons, so this arc for Nora could end as fast as it started, especially as the Grace Gibbons version of Cicada lingers in Central City. So “Gone Rogue” should provide follow-up to these angles.
