3. Cap Leads The Avengers Into Battle For The Final Time

Avengers…” Steve Rogers’ voiced bellowed out over the battlefield as he unexpectedly found himself backed up by one of the biggest armies to ever grace the big screen. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with old colleagues, new colleagues and even resurrected colleagues from a dead timeline, he was face-to-face with Thanos and, by extension, face-to-face with the battle of his life.

To say that the fate of the entire universe rested on this moment would be an understatement. Yet Steve stood across from his enemies unperturbed, simply finishing his sentence with one word… “Assemble!

With that, Captain America led his troops into battle against the MCU’s biggest of bads, setting the stage for what would go on to become one of the most visually stunning, awe-inspiring and downright epic battles in film history, as they all scratched, clawed and fought like their lives depended on it – because, quite frankly, they did.

With assistance from old friends like Thor and Bucky Barnes as well as new allies like Spider-Man and Captain Marvel, he was able to utilize Thor’s hammer and the remnants of his own shield to thin the herd and allow Iron Man to take on Thanos himself.

Ever since the team’s first official assembling in the final act of 2012’s The Avengers, Captain America has been considered their official leader, using his soldier-like mentality to guide his troops to victory and assist them whenever they need it. So, it was only fitting that he do so one last time on the biggest stage imaginable.
