9. Steve Rogers agrees with the results
Thanos’ plan was complete. Half of the beings in the universe were turned to dust. They gave it one more shot, but Thanos used the Infinity Stones one last time to destroy the stones themselves. With no Infinity Stones, there was nothing to bring everyone back. It looked like they were just going to have to accept it.
Steve Rogers ran a support group that helped people deal with their losses. Sort of like Alcoholics Anonymous. They could share what they’ve been going through and try to help each other get passed it. Steve kept a brave face, but inside he felt differently than what he was letting on. Some part of him seemed to understand what Thanos did.
Was Thanos right?
When Steve met Natasha Romanoff at her house, he said that he noticed that there were whales where they normally aren’t. With less things in the ocean, they could get closer and swim freely. Steve kept saying things like this throughout the beginning of the movie. It may have seemed like he was making a bad situation better, but it looks like he may have understood what Thanos did.
Steve knew deep down that the world needed to be returned to normal. That doesn’t mean he didn’t think things may have been better.
