Hail Hydra

Avengers: Endgame set up something that made everyone excited. Captain America got in an elevator with Rumlow and a group of S.H.I.E.LD. agents, who were secretly Hydra. In Captain America: Winter Soldier, this scene turned into one of the best fight scenes in the MCU. However, this time around, things played out differently.

Steve Rogers was aware that the people in the elevator were Hydra, and knew that starting a fight would ruin things in the future. Instead of getting into a scuffle, he leaned into Agent Sitwell’s ear and whispered, “Hail Hydra.” This calmed everyone down and made sure none of them were suspicious.

Comic book moment

In 2016, Steve Rogers: Captain America No. 1 debuted. Before noon, the comic book world collectively yelled at Marvel Comics. They felt the company had tarnished the name of Steve Rogers with two words; Hail Hydra. After he said that, everyone was confused. Since when was he Hydra? Well, the Cosmic Cube was sentient and was tricked into going back in time and switching Steve Rogers origin. This time, he was a Hydra sleeper agent.

This was a hilarious moment. People who knew about this laughed that Marvel Studios threw this moment into a movie. This also confirmed that we may never actually see this in a movie. With this, a lot of Marvel Comics fans can now take a sigh of relief.
