Viewers have finally reached the end of the line for season 5 of The Flash — almost. There are just two episodes remaining in the Grant Gustin-led drama of the Scarlet Speedster, who has faced unique challenges throughout these 20 episodes, including learning to be a parent.
However, the final encounters with two figures are ahead, and it seems one of them could transpire this week.
The new Cicada is on the loose — the Grace Gibbons version who killed her Uncle Orlun, the first Cicada. She eventually went after the Snow’s and killed Caitlin’s father in episode 19.

Now, with the second Cicada’s plan unfolding, it seems Team Flash will close in on her in “The Girl With the Red Lightning,” on Tuesday, May 7.
The other, seemingly more pressing storyline surrounds the Reverse-Flash. After Barry basically disowned her for working with The Flash‘s ultimate big bad, Nora went rogue and turned villainous. It only lasted one episode, though, as Barry apologized for his actions and welcomed her back. That appeared to clear the air, but Eobard Thawne still lurks in 2049, and no one knows what his end game is.
