If Only Online Trolls Could Be Beaten so Easily!

Regardless, while Cyclops may be older and his costume may be “retro,” his role within the team hasn’t changed. Despite his superior tactical experience, he is here to buck Kamala up. Having been a leader himself, he knows that every commander needs to rely on someone else during moments of weakness, and Cyclops fills that role here. He does what he has to do, and says what he has to say, to revitalize Ms. Marvel’s spirits and bring her out of the doldrums.

Yet he isn’t the only longtime X-Men member there. Cyclops and Ms. Marvel acknowledge Dust, who’s been hanging around the team since the last issue. Having been created in 2001, she still feels like a “new” character, because the comic book medium operates very slowly. Scott sees her as being in a similar place as to where he was, and believes Dust has a better place with the Champions than the X-Men; especially as the latter feel like a sinking ship for the moment.

However, there’s still the unfinished business with the Trolls. According to Viv, they’ve returned with a horde nearly twice as large as the last. Although the Champions technically only gained two extra team members for the fight, it was Cyclops’ rallying cry and Ms. Marvel’s renewed spirits which serve as their cavalry. With renewed vigor against their doubts and hardships, Kamala helps lead the team to another victory over the monsters for the sake of the Australian people! And while Havok is irritated, Cyclops reminds him that the X-Men aren’t his only team out there!
