Great Art Caps a Great Issue!

Juanan Ramirez is the fill-in artist (or “guest artist”) for this issue, backed up by Marcio Menyz’s colors. Ramirez has worked on other Marvel comics such as Avengers: Back To Basics and Secret Warriors, as well as stuff for smaller publishers like Grimm Fairy Tales. His work is incredible for this issue, capturing the pure awesomeness that is Cyclops as well as hitting every emotional beat in Zub’s script out of the park. He’ll be back next issue, which is only a positive sign for Champions.

dark. Next. Miles and Kamala's Hearts Break in No. 4!

Although a War Of The Realms banner may not be something longtime readers of the series want to see, in the short term it’s produced one of the best issues of this volume thus far. And in actuality, all it means is that the team will be fighting Norse monsters for another issue or so. This issue has an inspiring message, a strong rapport among its characters, a sense of history and scope, some brilliant art, and even a few one-liners. It is a total package of an issue!
