Black Clover Season 1: Part 4

Black Clover is a series that when it began, played with more comedic elements of an ongoing title. As it progressed, there began to be a more visible depth to the anime and, at the point of this release, has really gone deeper into the lore of Black Clover that is now one of the more successful long-running anime titles.

In the fourth installment, it continues the trend of a lighthearted atmosphere, until things take a deadly turn and a trap adds new danger to the group’s longevity. This portion of the series is much more immersive, challenging, and all-around entertaining by practicing some of what the series has done best while expanding on its success.

Aside from the great arc-storytelling methods utilized in this chapter, Funimation’s bundle is a perfect box set collector’s item with a special character charm that continues their dedication to great anime and great anime-related merchandise. If you enjoy mystical tension, teams of mages and great use of animation, Black Clover might be a series for you!

Dragon Ball Super: Part 7

Dragon Ball Super is quickly approaching their most epic battle yet – The Tournament of Power! Up until this point, the tournament has been more of a discussion than anything but, in this selection of episodes, we begin with a skirmish, essentially, that pits Universe 7 against Universe 9 to give each other a taste of what’s to come in the all out battle beginning in less than 48 hours.

These particular episodes give Gohan a chance to show off his return to combat and rise to power, taking a different approach than his father and, thankfully, showing the battle-ready Gohan we’ve loved for years. The team is still slightly unprepared, leaving room for another warrior to join the current slate of fighters and the fight between universes’ gives them a little more to worry about, as it becomes evident that there are warriors just as cunning, strong and strong-willed enough to rival even their best warriors.

Part 7 of the release is another solid piece of the Dragon Ball Super series, and is crucial to those who are invested in the Tournament of Power. And who wouldn’t want to see Gohan show off his abilities?

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes

Where do you even begin with My Hero Academia? Well, for starters, the series is something completely unlike anything before it’s time. The series (for those of you who live under a rock) is almost like a Japanese take of comic book culture, surrounding a class of aspiring heroes with different abilities.

The series quickly transitions into the young heroes having to act on heroic tendencies much more regularly than intended, which is exactly one of the best attributes of Two Heroes. The film is one of the best stories featured in MHA, providing pulse-pounding action, danger, character revelations, and more importantly, anime bliss.

The film introduces original characters and takes place between seasons two and three, so it works as a great standalone buffer that is appealing to both fans of the series and even viewers who might not have experienced it before. We can guarantee that after this film, you’ll be converted into a fan. For those of you wanting to binge first, Funimation has released the first two seasons on DVD and Blu-ray, or every episode on their streaming service, so you can fully prepare for this wonderful cinematic experience.
