Will a villain who can’t even spell his first name right prevail?

The Nuclear Man is a villain who goes by multiple names. Hailing from a parallel future of brutal chauvinism, he also goes by Mahkizmo and the name of his very realm, Machus. At a time when it seems the emotional wrath of petty men is front in center across the media, Nuclear Man chose to plant his flag on Roosevelt Island, New York. Trapping the island in a time warping bubble, he’s entrapped all the men in robot bodies and sought to dominate the women. His wayward son Som manipulated events to bring Captain Marvel to the island, and she’s rallied the women of the land around her!

This includes her Avengers allies Jennifer Walters and Jennifer Drew, alongside Echo and Hazmat. Nuclear Man is somehow dampening their powers, but Carol appears at full vigor. As a result, he arranged a death-match between Danvers and Rogue, her longtime rival. Considering Rogue’s deadly new powers, it almost worked. However, the heroines managed to work together to pool their forces, as Carol took over Rogue’s body in order to begin to take the fight to Nuclear Man, once and for all!

Nuclear Man may have shed his hairy 1970s biker body for a slimmer and fur coat clad form, but he’s every bit as big a heavy hitter as ever! He’s been capable of taking on bruisers like Thing, She-Hulk, and Thundra , and proves no less tough here. Rogue’s absorption powers quickly ware off, and the pair are forced to take their alliance in less literal terms to take the fight to the big man. While the pair will never be friends, Rogue has come a long way since the Brotherhood, and Carol respects that.
