4. Sentry
There are few characters in the Marvel Universe that have the power of The Sentry. It can be debated that he’s even stronger than Superman – in the comics The Sentry is powerful enough to fight the God of War Ares and rip him in half! The problem is Sentry is absolutely crazy.
Sentry has multiple personalities. He has his civilian identity, Robert Reynolds; his superhero persona, The Sentry; and his identity as The Void, who’s also his enemy, and they all think independently. Because of this he’s been manipulated easy and often. The combination of power and flaws make him an interesting character.
He hasn’t made his debut in the MCU yet and before he does, putting his origin in a TV show is the way to go.
There have been a couple of origin stories on how Robert Reynolds became the Sentry. One story says he was like Captain America and only he could take the serum because he was a good wholesome person. The other says he was an drug addict looking for his next fix. The latter is a sadder story, but it’s the best one.
Stories of triumph, from tragedy and addiction are some of the best. Reynolds has that in spades. It would be a new and interesting take on what superheroes go through.
