If Looks Could Kill
Let’s play a game. You put Deadpool on one end of a building and Cable in the other. Which one of them gets to their target first? This question was answered in Cable and Deadpool’s first issue. The two of them were after a virus for different reasons. Cable was using it to keep it out of the hands of small minded people.
Deadpool wanted it because he was hired to steal it. This encounter lead to a bunch of shenanigans that include a cult-like church, Cable and Wade having a brutal fight, Cable swallowing Wade and barfing him back up (literally), and everyone in the world having their skin color turn bright pink.
Cable and Deadpool are never going to see eye to eye. They may get along at times and at one point they were friends. In the end, Wade always finds a way to ruin their friendship. This will be no different in the movies. Cable has no patience for Wade’s nonsense (as we saw in Deadpool 2) and this series will highlight it. This series also displays Cable’s skills as a strategist and how powerful of a telepath and telekinetic he is. This was only the beginning. It also leads to the series in the next slide.
