The release date for the final season of Jessica Jones has been announced and it’s not far away.

Netflix has dropped the first look at the upcoming season three of Jessica Jones, which is also the final season of the series, and looks to be the last season of any of the Marvel Netflix shows as well. Along with the first official look as well, a release date was announced, June 14th, which is less than three weeks away.

In the trailer, which can only be considered one if someone is being very generous, not much is revealed about the plot of the season, other than Jessica being accused of being a fraud. A fraud of what, it’s very much not clear as to what she’s being accused of being a fraud of, but the immediate tone of the fifteen-second teaser feels much more like the first season than the second season. It feels more stylized and the editing felt like it was leaning back into the psychological thriller genre that the first season excelled at so well.

Other than obviously Krysten Ritter returning as the titular Jessica Jones, Rachel Taylor as Patsy Walker, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, and Carrie Anne-Moss as Jeri Hogarth are all set to return for the final season. Really not much else in the way of casting or story has been revealed as it seems like Marvel and Netflix are playing the secrets of this close to the chest.

While critically acclaimed and adored by fans in the first season, season two had a bit more of a lukewarm reception by critics and fans alike, similar to how some felt about season two of Daredevil. Hopefully though, like Daredevil, the series can end on its highest point of its run and with a sense of finality that can often be wanting in comic book properties.
