Comic book places you may or may not want to live in

New York (Marvel Comics)
Is there a place in any comic book that gets attacked more than New York City in the Marvel Universe? It’s so bad that Brian Michael Bendis used to draw random civilians asking themselves why they lived there. Honestly, why would you? The insurance must be incredibly high due to the threat of imminent danger to yourself, your home, and your vehicle. There also has to be an Act of God and a separate act of god clause as well. Sure, you may get to see Iron Man fly by, but is it really worth it?
There are some advantages. There are so many heroes that you could survive. Spider-Man seems to never take a day off. So if you’re getting mugged, he could save you. Daredevil is always on duty as well. The X-Men, Avengers, and the Fantastic Four are also around to help when an alien race comes to try and make New York part of their empire. So it’s not all bad.
However, you could get caught by one of Deadpool’s stray bullets when he’s being reckless. Bullseye could be bored and kill you from a window. Juggernaut could be trying to get his steps in on his Fitbit and run you over accidentally. This is one of the few places on this list where you could live your entire life and end up being happy and also have an exciting life. Or killed during the War of the Realms.
