10. The Fantastic Four Will Finally Make Their MCU Debut

The mystery surrounding the future of Avengers Tower has spawned endless speculation as to who the landmark’s new buyer could be and, aside from the Oscorp theory, the most popular fan theory seems to suggest that it’s destined to become the Baxter Building – headquarters to none other than the Fantastic Four.

The heroic quartet may be among Marvel’s most iconic superheroes but Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing have yet to make their debut in the MCU.

Like Spider-Man himself, Marvel Studios did not own the movie rights to the characters and, as a result, 20th Century Fox (who did own the rights) released two Fantastic Four films in 2005 and 2007. Following that, they attempted to reboot the franchise in 2015 with absolutely dire results, bringing an end to the heroes’ big-screen adventures… for now.

So, while bringing up the Fantastic Four now might seem like a random attempt to desperately grasp at some straws, there’s actually a much greater chance of the foursome making their MCU debut than ever before, as Marvel Studios has finally managed to acquire the movie rights.

With Spider-Man: Far From Home marking the final movie in Phase 3, it’s undoubtedly going to have to set up the mysterious fourth phase in some manner, so what better way to make that happen than by finally introducing some never-before-seen heavy-hitters? And with both the Avengers Tower theory and the multiverse theory supporting a potential Fantastic Four appearance, the stars may have finally aligned for the Fantastic Four.
