Not doing Ant-Man 3 is a bad idea.
Ant-Man has been one of the more random characters and movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first Ant-Man movie was unlike what we are used to seeing in the MCU. It seemed to be geared more towards families with younger children than the other films. Ant-Man and The Wasp was the same. However, when Paul Rudd was Scott Lang (Ant-Man) in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame, he adapted to the slightly grittier style of both movies. Rudd as Ant-Man has shown that he can bring money to the theaters. However, it seems like there may not be a third installment.
Rudd told Yahoo that he wasn’t sure if there was going to be an Ant-Man 3 saying, “I don’t know. You need to make a call to the top brass and start a campaign to make it happen.” Paul Rudd is known for being a jokester, but it may not be the case this time around. Even though there may not be plans for an Ant-Man 3, that doesn’t mean Scott Lang and Hope Pym’s characters are done. Both of them will make great additions to the Avengers when their time comes. However, it would be a bunch of missed opportunities there isn’t an anther Ant-Man project.
For example, what it going to happen to Janet Van Dyne now that she’s back? She has a lot of time to make up for. Did something happen to her mind while she was in the Quantum Zone alone for so long? Here are five other reasons why we need another Ant-Man project.
