Scott Lang and Hank Pym are great together
One of the things that separate the Ant-Man franchise from the rest of the MCU is the emphasis on it being lighter. Until recently, Thor was naive, but a much more serious character. Tony Stark had comedic moments, but it wasn’t as lighthearted. Ant-Man’s bread and butter of the franchise comes from the sweet relationship of the families and the comedy. It can be a bit slap-sticky at times, but it fits. It’s something different from the rest of the MCU movies. Among those things that make this movie wonderful is the relationship between Hank Pym and Scott Lang.
At first, Scott was chosen by Hank to where the new Ant-Man costume. He trained for a while and eventually became everything that Hank wanted him to be. Then, he took the costume from the Pyms (Captain America: Civil War) and ruined their relationship. In the Ant-Man and The Wasp, Hank bickered at Scott and all Scott could do was take it since he knew he was wrong.
Especially since it put Hank and his daughter Hope in trouble with the government. Hank is no doubt still a bit perturbed with Scott. Despite helping save the world and being the reason he has his wife back Hank hurt his daughter. A father will never let that slide We’d be missing out if we don’t get more the Scott and Hank together.
