The beginning of Stature
Stature is the daughter of Scott Lang in Marvel Comics. After years of messing around with Pym Particles as a kid, she developed the ability to grow like Giant Man. She eventually became part of a teenage superhero group called the Young Avengers. In Avengers: Endgame we find out that Cassie wasn’t caught in Thanos’ snap and aged five years. We don’t see her again until the end of the movie when. What happened in those five years?
We don’t know what Cassie was up to in those five years her father was gone. Before Scott disappeared, she loved her dad and everything he got into. They used to play like they were cat burglars. She could have tried to do what he did in his absence. She may have found some Pym Particles and gained powers due to constant exposure (like in the comics). Or maybe she used one of the spare suits she found and practiced in secret. Five years is a long time.
There are a plethora of explanations that could be used to make Cassie Lang Stature in the next movie. An emotional response after seeing her father get beat up might trigger her powers as well.
Ant-Man 3 should happen. With the Marvel Cinematic universe going with new movies a familiar face could be used to introduce future characters. It could also be a movie that bridges the gap between films. Since the movies make money, the fans enjoy them, and they are popular characters, there’s no reason we shouldn’t get another Ant-Man project in the MCU. Make it happen, Marvel Studios.
